What benefits can owners experience with your app?
The Acre App enables users to make and manage reservations, purchase package credits, see and pay invoices, upload their dog’s medical, feeding and vaccine info, message with THE ACRE staff, see photos of their pets, who their pet’s friends are, and more. Download the app here.
What do I need to bring to dog boarding?
When boarding your dog at The Acre, we strive to provide a safe and comfortable environment. If you are not purchasing meals from us, please bring only the amount of food your dog will need for their stay. We do not accept large quantities of food unless your dog is boarding for an extended period of time.
We provide beds and bowls for all dogs. To minimize potential hazards, we do not accept soft bedding unless your dog is elderly, nor do we accept toys. However, you are welcome to bring any treats you would like your pup to have in the morning or evening.
What do I need to bring to dog daycare?
At our dog daycare, we aim to make the experience as easy and convenient as possible. Onsite, we provide food and water bowls and beds for all dogs joining us for the day. All you need to do is bring your dog into the facility on a leash. If your dog is wearing a harness, please remove it before leaving if you prefer your pup not to wear it throughout the day. If the harness is left on, our camp counselors may choose to leave it at their discretion.
Do you require a deposit for boarding reservation?
Yes, 50% upfront deposits are required to book boarding or daycare services. In order to book an overnight lodging reservation for your pup, we require a boarding deposit. For a one-night reservation, we will collect a one-night boarding deposit at the time you make the reservation. For a lodging reservation between two and seven nights long, we collect a two-night deposit at the time the reservation is made. For lodging reservations eight nights or longer, we require a 50% boarding deposit or the purchase of a 10-night Package. We know and fully understand things can happen unexpectedly and aim to make you and your pup’s lives as stress-free as possible.
Is there and interview process for new dogs?
Before becoming a camper at The Acre, we like to get to know your pup for a day to make sure they’re a good fit! We’ll schedule a Play Day Evaluation for their first day of Day Care where they will receive extra special attention and monitoring.
We will observe their play style and introduce them to other dogs in small groups or one-on-one as to not overwhelm your pup and let them ease into the atmosphere at Doggy Day Care! Our trained staff will closely observe your dog throughout the day to determine the best play group for them to join! Mid-way through their first day we will send you an email with pictures of your best friend playing with new friends and a report card to let you know how they are doing! As long as things go nice and smooth on their first day, they’re welcome back any time for dog daycare and lodging! The Play Day Evaluation is a full day of day care.
Owners are not permitted to stay for the Play Day Evaluation. You’ll drop of your pup in the morning like a normal day of doggy day care.
Is staff on-site overnight?
We do have staff at the facility overnight, so in the event of an emergency where you need to either pick up or drop off after hours that can be easily arranged with short notice in mind.
